The Genealogical Society of Utah was founded in 1894 to gather records that help people trace their ancestry. In 1938 the society began preserving records on microfilm. The most used records are now being digitized, indexed and made available on-line. The Family History Library in Salt Lake City has the world's largest collection of genealogical information. Most of the records date from between 1550 and 1940. Therefore, the library has few records of living persons. The library also does not have a record of everyone who has ever lived.

For parents with pre-school age children we have prepared a "Kids Kave" corner
outfitted with play toys, colouring books, etc. to entertain children while parents work
on the computers to access the databases in search of their family history.
We do not have an official nursery service, but the Kids Kave has proven popular.
